In the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Fountainbridge district, Springside is a pioneering residential development offering 476 homes exclusively designed for rent.
The development includes a variety of living spaces, from studios to three-bedroom apartments and townhouses.
Springside residents enjoy many amenities, including lounges, health and wellbeing zones, a games room, and a dining club with terrace views towards Edinburgh Castle.
This comprehensive ‘all-in’ approach is unique in the private rental sector, aiming to foster a new way of living that prioritises wellbeing and community.
Challenges
To meet the client’s high standards and ambitious timeline, we needed
to deliver a cost-effective and time-efficient flooring solution
without compromising quality.
The project brief involved covering an area of 2,414m2 and we delivered 390m3 of TLA150 and 122m3 of Cemfloor C25 liquid screed using our TransMix truck, Titan. The only one of its kind in Scotland.

Given the project’s scope, it was essential to minimise labour requirements and ensure quick drying times to keep the project on schedule.

To meet the client’s high standards and ambitious timeline, we needed to deliver a cost-effective and time-efficient flooring solution without compromising quality.
The project brief involved covering an area of 2,414m2 and we delivered 390m3 of TLA150 and 122m3 of Cemfloor C25 liquid screed using our TransMix truck, Titan. The only one of its kind in Scotland.
Given the project’s scope, it was essential to minimise labour requirements and ensure quick drying times to keep the project on schedule.
Our team proposed a value-engineered approach, which included:
- Utilising 50mm Cemfloor over TLA150 with acoustic matting.
- Ensuring a quick application process to reduce on-site labour.
- Employing Cemfloor’s fast-drying, high-performance liquid screed.
