Project Details:
- Client: Ka Pao Restaurant
- Material: Flexible Polyurethane
- Location: Edinburgh
Through various projects, our team has become close with Jonathan MacDonald, the owner of Ka Pao, the Southeast Asian bistro that first
opened in Glasgow in 2020.
The Project
The latest Ka Pao restaurant resides on the fourth floor of Edinburgh’s newly refurbished St James Centre.
And Jonathan called us to action after issues with the existing industrial screed (not from ATS!). The problem was that it had cracked all over.
Using our experience, we understood that a flexible Polyurethane comfort floor solution was the answer.
The Application
Bandage all the cracks with fibreglass mesh and resin.
- Lay the coloured floor
- Apply two seal coats to make it UV stable so the sun doesn’t discolour it.
The Result
It’s not the first time we’ve been called to fix issues on a project.
Let’s chat
Every project starts with a conversation – let us know about your project and we can talk through the details
In the words of the restaurant owner: “I wish we’d had ATS in from the start! They immediately recognised the issue, and I was impressed with how quickly they remedied the situation.”
