Project Details:
- Client: Port of Leith Distillery
- Material: Screeds, and Micro Concrete
- Location: Leith
- Area: 1200m2
We have built our long-standing relationship with Colorado Construction on mutual trust and respect. Our Port of Leith Distillery (POLD) journey began with a tender process. Initially, we collaborated with the M+E company to deliver heated screeds.
It led to a direct association with Colorado, where we provided unheated screeds and all finishes.
The Project
Colorado entrusted us with Concrete Repair, Screeds, and Micro Concrete finishes on this 1200 m2 project.
The Challenges
The project presented a couple of distinctive challenges:
- Space on the site was incredibly limited, akin to a “postage stamp.”
- The vertical reach of the project stretched over ten stories, adding to the complexity.
The Process and Materials
Our approach was comprehensive.
We started with installing Mapei Topcem Screeds, followed by Mapei Renovation screed, culminating in applying Mapei Loft Micro concrete finish.

Duration
The entire project spanned approximately six months.
The Result
The result was a captivating micro concrete floor with consistent colouring. Given the bespoke nature of these floors, we provided several samples, enabling the client to choose their preferred finish.
What the client said:
“ATS was exceptional to partner with, delivering a finish that exceeded our expectations. The on-site team was accommodating, turning a challenging job into a smoother experience. Having collaborated with ATS in the past, we’re confident in choosing them for future projects.
